IMPLEMENTING ISPC CODE FOR MARINE PORTS
The International Marine Organization established in 2004 the International Ship and Port Facility Security (ISPC) Code which is a set of comprehensive measures for enhancing the response to threats on ship and port facilities.
The main objective of ISPC:
- Detect the security threat and implement measures
- Establish the role of the different international, national and local bodies in securing the specific site
- Provide a methodology for security assessment and procedures for reaction to changing security levels
YTS has experience securing large marine ports and implementing its site security methodology to analyze, assess, plan and implement a viable and sound security system for any marine port. As in any site protection program YTS tailors a solution for the different security circle requirements to ensure port safety without compromising or disrupting its daily operation.
